In May 2023 I ran some poetry workshops at the Silk Museum in Macclesfield with the aim of producing poems to be displayed in the town’s shop windows for the Barnaby Festival Community Art Trail.
The theme of the festival was ‘In A New Light’ and we read some poetry which used the senses to view the world in a new light and then experimented with how we might do that too. There were so many fabulous poems from writers of lots of different ages. Here’s one from Oscar, aged 10.
